Pes Cavus
It is called the condition in which the arch of the foot is very high (the opposite of flatfoot). Often there is no underlying condition but sometimes it can be the result of a neurological condition.
Therefore, as the arch of the foot is very high, there are increased pressures in the area of the metatarsals and in the area of the heel when walking. These increased pressures can cause pain in the soles of the feet, as well as knees and hips.
